The flag might not be in official use, as the few images of the city flagpole
at city hall on Google Maps is bare, not having any flag. It is white with the
city seal placed upon it in the center.

According to Wikipedia, the City Seal started being used c. 2001. The outer
ring is filled by a laurel wreath of victory. In the center of the inner area, a
shield is placed. A band reading "CITY OF COMPTON Incorporated in 1888" runs
across the center. The upper and bottom three sections of the shield each depict
a device, symbolic of city services: a faucet for water, caduceus for
healthcare, 2 windows and a handshake for working together; a house for
residential areas, a torch and open book for education, and finally a nut,
probably for public works.

It appears the school district also uses a flag; visible at https://maps.app.goo.gl/75Bdkh35mL2FcNxDA. It is white with the district logo placed upon it, reading its name and having six stars in its outer ring. The inner area is red and depicts an open book with a star, musical note; mathematical and scientific symbols emerging from it.
