Town of North Salem Unfurls Winning Town Flag
The Republican

One hundred and eighty-three years after it was founded, the Town of North Salem has a flag to represent its residents and its history. The North Salem Town Council hosted a contest late last year to find a design for a town flag. The winning design was submitted by Erica Nichols, who was awarded $150. The flag is white with a red-blue-red stripe at each side. The center features a red outline of Indiana with a blue star indicated the Town's location. The words, "Est. 1835," are in red on each side of the map outline, with "North Salem Indiana" in blue at the top and bottom.
A drawing also happens to be located in this website at the bottom of the page at "Platinum Sponsors."
