Description of the Flag

I recently received an Ocean City flag as a Father's Day present. The "wave" comes to a point, and the division line in the fly end isn't straight, but completes the "wave" image.

Ocean City is on Maryland's Atlantic coast. It's a resort town of about 40,000 people, except in the summer months, when it attracts several hundred thousand visitors, most of them students just graduated from high school or college.

Sunset Island is an island neighborhood located in central Ocean City. It was designed to resemble beach communities along the Atlantic Coast in the 1920s.

The flag is a white field with a black border. In the center is the community logo.

Caine Woods is a quiet residential neighborhood located in northern Ocean City on the strait the connects the Little Assawoman and Assawoman Bays.

The neighborhood flag was designed in June of 1989 during a bull roast. The flag is a yellow field with the neighborhood logo, which features the neighborhood name separating a forest, aka a "woods," and the bay which has a duck swimming in it.
