Located on the east coast of Vancouver Island, four reserves, allotted in 1877 and totaling 280.7 hectares.
Population: 278
The K'ómoks First Nation is a member of the Kwakiutl District Council (a tribal council).

The Flag

The flag, (which appeared on the photograph) carries a different spelling of the nation's native name. It is not an error, as that spelling is an acceptable one among the Comox people. Possibly, the newer flags have the updated spelling.
