On October 9, 1997, the flag was adopted as the village flag for Esch. On

From https://www.mastenenvlaggen.nl/product/dorpsvlag-lennisheuvel:
It is not known exactly when it has been in use. The design for the flag was made at the request of a group of residents from the village. They wanted to organize a major event where the flag would come in handy.
The Lennisheuvel flag has a white background with a red stripe near the top and a blue stripe
near the bottom. A four-leaf clover can be seen in the middle of the flag. This four-leaf clover may refer to the nature reserve 'Het Groene Woud'. Lennisheuvel is located in the center of this.
